Delighted Audiences Enjoy Shirley Hills Music Concerts

Shirley Hills second graders perform "Stone Soup."
The Shirley Hills second and third graders performed their concerts on February 26 for full and wonderfully attentive audiences.
Keeping with the theme of “I Love to Read Month,” the second graders performed "Stone Soup." They told the story through song and dialogue, complete with props and costumes. One of their favorite songs of the show was "Who Ever Heard of Soup from a Stone?"
The third graders performed a collection of songs from well-known musicals with a theme of "I Love to Read Musicals." They sang songs from Mary Poppins, Matilda, Annie and The Sound of Music.
Music teacher Melissa Bray’s favorite song from their concert was "When I Grow Up" from Matilda. The students ended the performance with "So Long, Farewell," from the Sound of Music.
“It was a magical night!” said Bray.
